Transformer breather's Silica Gel

In a transformer silica gel is used for moisture absorbtion from the air,which used as air filter and it is placed in breather.

The silica gel colour will change with respect to absorption of air moisture.


●Colour of silica gel in normal condition:Blue
●Colour of silica gel after moisture absorbtion:pink

When silica is dry it has blue colour which means no impurities in silica gel and it is good in condition, but if silica gel is pink then it has moisture and it is not used till it will become dry and colour will become blue again.
After dried the moisturized silica gel, it will reuse for the air filter purpose for transformer.
